Idea of founding the organization
In 2001-2002 Marina Gudz successfully passed an open competition of a Polish-American fund “Liberty” (www.pafw.pl), a Polish-American commission of Fulbright (www.fulbright.edu.pl) and won a grant named after Lane Kirkland for training in Polish Republic on a specialization "municipal management".
Studying the Polish experience of democratic transformations, a conclusion was made that an outstanding role in social changes belongs to the public sector, communities and voluntary associations of citizens which are the main driving force of any transformation and functioning of a modern democratic open society. A peculiar feature of constructing European countries is forming Europe of regions, a commonwealth of peoples.
Since Ukraine is a European state, its political, economic and humanitarian entry into United Europe is a task of public groups and associations as well. That`s why there appeared an idea of founding a local public organization with an integration focus.
